The Spirit Walks
Kagerup Byvej 20B, 3200 Helsinge
Join us on our daily walk around the distillery, where we give a brief introduction to how we produce whisky and other spirits. On the tour we will visit the distillery, the cask warehouse and our shop, where you can taste our products.
What is included
A Spirit Walk includes a guided tour with an experienced employee, as well as a flight board with three different kinds of whiskey (1.5 cl.) Whiskey can be replaced with other spirits if desired.

About Thornæs Destilleri
Whiskey in the Heart of North Zealand
At Thornæs Distilleri we produce Danish Single Malt Whisky using double distillation in small batches. We are a Craft Distillery, which means that we manufacture all our products by hand and continuously adapt raw materials and processes to achieve the best possible result.
The distillery is established in an old horse stable on the farm Falkendal, located in North Zealand close to Gribskov and Solbjerg Engsø. On the farm, organic malt barley is produced according to varieties carefully selected by the distillery and therefore particularly suitable for the production of organic Danish Single Malt Whisky.
At the distillery we also produce a gin called Mad Owl Gin, which is named after the owl that lived in the attic of the distillery at the time we moved in in 2019. Today it's moved out - probably because of all the spectacle we go and do.
In addition to the distillery itself, both a farm shop and a tasting room have been established, where guests can sample the distillery's products and buy some with them. Through a large window, you can follow our work in distilling whisky and gin from the shop.
